Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to work in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. Reporting to the Program Clinical Coordinator, performs chair-side and desk-side duties within the Prosthodontics Postgraduate Program. Assists during examination and treatment of patients and performs clerical tasks for the program.
Prepares clinical kits and dispenses dental instruments and materials during examination and treatment of patients.
Charts examination under the direction of the doctor.
Takes, develops and mounts x-rays; maintains x-ray solutions and developer along with the maintenance of x-ray cleaning log.
Assists in implant procedures and maintains inventory of implant components.
Serves as a backup sterilization assistant.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA).
Valid Radiological Technology License issued by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
Three (3) years of dental experience.
