The School of Dentistry is seeking Certified Dental Assistants to assist our busy clinics. These positions are designed to provide the hands on patient care as directed by the doctors as well as provide patients with knowledge on proper oral care and dental hygiene. Duties include but are not limited to:
Greeting and seating patients as they arrive
Instruct patients on proper dental hygiene
Prepare and assist doctors in banding and bonding new patients
Check with doctors for treatment instructions
Taking Records (including x-rays, pictures and impressions) as needed
Keep day to day supplies stocked at all times
Answering questions or directing the appropriate questions to the doctors
A high school diploma and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Certifications as required by regulatory agencies is necessary.
Certification by the Certifying Board of the American Dental Assistant's Association is necessary.
Successful applicants will have the ability to instruct dental students in preparing them to effectively work with a dental assistant in complete auxiliary utilization, as well as good health and high standard of personal hygiene.
Full Time/Part Time
$13.27 - $15.50
