Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) is currently seeking a Dental Assistant for the Department of Periodontics. Provides a variety of routine dental assisting activities. Activities include but are not limited to assisting the dentist during examination and treatment of patients, sterilizing instruments, and equipment maintenance.
Set up treatment trays for periodontal and implant surgeries.
Dispense materials and instruments in post-graduate clinic.
Maintain implant and surgical kits.
Re-stock dispensary and order supplies when needed.
Take instruments to and from sterilization.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting Program.
Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) in the State of New Jersey.
Valid Dental Radiological Technology License.
Must be CPR certified.
Previous experience in a dental office environment.
