SCHEDULE: This is a temporary, benefits-eligible position, anticipated to run from August 2020 to March 2021. The Medical Assistant will work Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
LOCATION: The Medical Assistant will work at the UW Medical Center - Northwest main campus in North Seattle. As needed, some travel may be required to our Women’s Health outpatient clinics in North Seattle and Mill Creek.

UW Medical Center - Northwest has an exciting opportunity for a day shift TEMPORARY CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT to join our Meridian Women’s Health Team. The Medical Assistant will play a key role supporting patients undergoing wellness exams, pregnancy care, family planning, and menopausal issues, and will assist in screenings for early detection of gynecologic problems.
Bring patients to exam rooms and document heart rate, blood pressure, height and weight
Obtain patient history, determine patient needs, and prepare patient to see the medical provider
Administer medication and phone in pharmacy refills
Answer questions and follow through on patient inquiries
Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board; OR equivalent education/experience
Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification in the State of Washington
Previous work experience in a women’s health setting
