Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Tech $10000 Incentive, Port Angeles, 1.0 FTE, Days or Evening shifts available, Wknds/Hldys

JOB SUMMARY:
$10000 Hiring Incentive - $2000 due after 90 days, $8000 due after 18 months
Performs generalist lab duties within all sections of the lab, coordinating multiple tasks with precision and flexibility to provide accurate results within the minimum turnaround time established for the laboratory.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Minimum of an associate degree from an accredited MLT program with ASCP, AMT or BOR certification or eligible, or equivalent status preferred. Experience Knowledge and skills related to laboratory computer information systems is desirable. Knowledge of laboratory expertise in multiple departments and to demonstrate ability to coordinate multiple tasks with precision and flexibility to provide accurate results within the minimum turnaround time established for the laboratory. Short Term Disability/Paid Sick Leave

Paid Sick Leave – PSL is accrued at a rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked and is available to use after 90 days of employment.

Union Employee Holidays & Vacation
Full-time Employee Holidays – 7 fixed holidays and 3 Floating holidays. Floating holidays are allotted annually on anniversary date or date specified by contract.
Part-time Employee Holidays – Part time holiday bank (equivalent to 10 days per year for a full-time employee); use by request or receive payout of 8 hours upon reaching 24 hours in bank.
Vacation – Beginning accrual equivalent to 14 days per year for a full-time employee. Pro-rated for part-time employees. Employees may begin using vacation after completing 1040 benefit hours. Accrual rate increases with years of service. Refer to your Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for details.
