Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Secretary/Technician for the Cardio Admin department at Overlook Medical Center to various shift including every other weekend.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• The Cardiovascular Secretary/Technician candidate must have exceptional communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• The candidate will have physician office or related experience, and efficiently coordinate the flow of patients, physicians and staff in a fast-paced patient care setting.
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling patients for cardiovascular testing, and registration.
• The Secretary/Technician candidate will be focused and flexible, willing to pitch in as needed and assist with patient care and transportation as needed to meet the patient and department needs.
• The candidate must be flexible to adjust hours to meet the needs of the department.
• The candidate must also be proficient at coordination and organization of administrative duties to ensure efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of patient flow.

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College preferred

Minimum Experience:

• Prior administrative and/or patient care experience in health care is preferred.
• Registration experience is desirable. The candidate must promote the Atlantic Health System PRIDE Values.
• Must meet the requirements of a Secretary/Technician Criteria Based Performance Appraisal.
• Must demonstrate effective communication skills.
• Must ensure patient/family expectations are exceeded.
